Founder story
Nicolas Gonzalez — Founder & CEO of Sexybera
Caribbean heritage, modern luxury
Nicolas Gonzalez founded Sexybera from a deep love of Caribbean culture, fabric design, and the natural beauty of the female form. The brand is the intersection of his creative work in textiles, neon art, and fashion entrepreneurship.
His journey began in the world of textiles, where he learned how the right fabric can transform the way a garment looks, feels, and moves. That sensibility later led him to build Lux Neon, a brand for custom LED art installations, and to co-found Coconut Bikini and Reclaimed Closet.
Sexybera represents the meeting point of those experiences. It is a vision of Caribbean and Latin culture expressed through pieces that feel confident, warm, elegant, sensual, and unmistakably energetic.
For Nicolas, Sexybera is more than clothing. It is a celebration of heritage, femininity, confidence, and modern Caribbean luxury — a way of sharing a piece of the Caribbean with the world, one beautifully designed garment at a time.
Craft & Materials
De guayabera a vestido.
Every Sexybera piece begins with the guayabera — the pleated, four-pocket shirt worn across the Caribbean for more than a century. We keep what defines it: the vertical alforzas that run the length of the body, the flap pockets, the collar, the mother-of-pearl buttons. Everything else is recut for her.
Garments are made in breathable linen and linen blends chosen for warm climates — fabric that softens with wear rather than wearing out. Panels are shaped to follow a woman's natural line instead of hiding it, and each piece is finished by hand in Santo Domingo.
- Breathable linen and linen-blend fabrications
- Traditional alforza pintuck panels
- Mother-of-pearl and antique gold hardware
